The people who call about exterior planters are almost always running a building where arrival matters. Every one of those entrances competes with the one next door, and the planting at the door is the first thing a property can change and among the cheapest. Restaurants with patios, retail with a street presence, and offices whose lobby doubles as a leasing tool are the other three groups we hear from.
Exterior work is a different technical problem from interior work, though. Inside, light is the constraint. Outside it is exposure — wind at a corner, reflected heat off a south-facing façade, grit in February, and a planter beside a restaurant patio that gets touched, leaned on and occasionally used as an ashtray.

Ongoing garden maintenance runs its own thirteen-step process, separate from the interior one. It covers weeding, deadheading, irrigation line checks where a system is installed, seasonal cutbacks timed to the plant rather than the calendar, and vine training along trellises and walls. Containers get cleaned and the surrounding area left free of soil and plant material.
One thing it does not cover, and we would rather say so: general exterior trash pickup is not part of the service. If litter is a persistent problem at a property we will flag it for the facility rather than absorb it.
Frequently asked questions
Do you supply the planters or do we?
We source planters alongside the plants. Container and planting are one decision outdoors even more than indoors, because the vessel is carrying drainage, root volume and wind stability, not just a look.
Can you plant a rooftop?
Yes, and rooftops are their own condition — more wind, more sun, harder freeze-thaw cycling, and weight limits that shape the whole design.
What about winter? Does everything come out?
No. Seasonal rotation means the containers change through the year rather than sitting empty, and Nashville's winters allow a great deal more than people expect.
Do you maintain what you plant outside?
Yes, through ongoing garden maintenance — regular visits, seasonal rotations, pruning, fertilization and plant health monitoring.
Is this the same as landscaping?
No. We do interior and exterior plant design, not lawns, irrigation systems or hardscape.
