The concentration
Brookdale Senior Living served more than 51,000 residents as of the end of 2025 and is the largest operator of senior housing in the United States. Lifepoint Health runs 60 hospital campuses, 60-plus rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals and 250 further sites of care. Delek US and Tractor Supply are both headquartered here. Tractor Supply operated 2,446 stores as of 2026.
Our largest single installation
Over four hundred plants across The Factory at Franklin — ten industrial buildings put up in 1929 for the Allen Manufacturing stove works, now retail, restaurants and event space. Design and installation; the maintenance there is not ours.

A headquarters is four different plant problems wearing one address
The lobby is a public room with heavy foot traffic and the building's only reliably good light. It takes larger, tougher specimens in vessels heavy enough that nobody slides one out of the way for a delivery.
The executive floor is usually the opposite: excellent finishes, controlled access, and light that has been engineered away by glazing and blinds. That floor is where we most often end up specifying supplemental light rather than pretending a corner office is bright.
Open plan is a density and access problem before it is a horticultural one. Plants placed where a chair rolls get destroyed within a quarter.
The boardroom and town-hall space get used in bursts and photographed constantly. They need to look right on the day, which in practice means they need to look right every day.
What we specify when the room has no light and nobody wants to hear it
We have installed custom grow lighting on a commercial project — HMC Civil Rights Law, where the design would not have survived without it. That is the honest answer for an interior conference room or an executive suite with a single north exposure: either the plant list gets very short, or the light gets supplemented, or the room gets a preserved moss wall, which needs no light at all because it is not growing.
We measure light at the placement. Not at the window, not for the floor as a whole.
Phasing a headquarters so it does not arrive as one enormous number
Most corporate projects here run in phases, and the sequence that works is public rooms first — lobby, elevator lobbies, main circulation, boardroom — then executive and client-facing floors, then open plan. It puts the visible result first and lets the team see the maintenance rhythm before committing the whole building to it.
Our project minimum is $3,000 and consultation to install runs four to six weeks on a small or medium project. Larger phased work depends on scale, and we will tell you which it is at the walkthrough rather than after.
Who is doing the work
Eight people and growing. Kelly Fletcher holds the CPT-I certification; a second technician is working toward NC State certification; Savannah holds an NC State horticulture certificate. Our headquarters, warehouse, greenhouse and office are in Madison, which is why the plants that arrive at your building have been acclimated somewhere rather than trucked in from a broker that morning.

Frequently asked questions
Do we buy the plants or lease them?
You buy them outright. We can quote a lease structure if procurement requires it, but it is not what we typically offer and it usually costs more over any realistic horizon.
Can you work around an active buildout?
Yes, and it is better if we are in the conversation early — vessel sizes, floor loading, drainage and irrigation access are all cheaper to solve on a drawing than after millwork is in.
Will the same technician service our building?
That is how we schedule it. Route consistency is most of what makes a plant program work, because the person who saw the plant two weeks ago is the one who notices something is off.
What happens if a plant dies?
Under a maintenance program, plants we installed that fall below our standards get replaced — at no cost when the cause is within our control. Terms and conditions apply.
